Baby Bedding

So I have been looking at baby bedding since I found out I was pregnant but could never find one that I absolutely loved. Then once we found out the gender, I really began to look more seriously, but to no avail. Finally I gave in and went to the Pottery Barn Kids website and of course found the one I LOVE: Daisy Garden Nursery!

What do you think? Super cute huh! Our crib is a really dark finish and I think the colors will look great with it! I'm trying my luck with Ebay and hopefully I will get lucky enough to find everything that way!

Crazy, crazy, crazy!

That's the story of my life right now! Every week I think, "Alright this week things are going to slow down..." Nope, wrong again! It seems like with all of the big events at work, preparing for baby (i.e. cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning), and the finance office for my chapter life is not going to slow down for at least 3 more weeks! While I always enjoy this time of year because it means school's almost out and summer is nearing, I hate the haste of life.

I realized that I've been neglecting both friends and family as I have had several friends note that we haven't done anything in F.O.R.E.V.E.R. and my mother has now sent me an email and left me a voicemail concerned of my well-being since I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth! So I guess this post is for all of you, I'm still kickin' BUT time is 'a flyin' by!

And for your entertainment, my list of things to survive this week:
1. Prepare quarterly taxes by Thursday for the chapter (yup, I procrastinated...)
2. Figure out the finances for the summer for the chapter (I really should do this for myself as well....maybe next month!)
2. Report Cards and Assessments....AHHH I've hardly started!
3. Prepare portfolios for conferences that are to be held NEXT WEEK!
4. Write Thank-You's to all of my parents for the AMAZING gifts that gave me for Teacher-Appreciation! (I should have done this over the weekend...)
5. Clean the front room!

See, only a list of "5" that doesn't sound SO bad, if only they all took a few minutes...not a few hours.... And as much as I hate making lists, I LOVE the feeling of checking off each item upon it's completion! So, with that, I'm going to go work on the taxes and then to bed in hopes of a good night's sleep so that tomorrow can prove to be productive!

AND Oskar just puked...gotta go! What a night!

It's a...

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a GIRL!!! Talk about a surprise! I was so sure that we were having a boy! Eli and I both are SO excited!!! Now we can finally start looking at bedding and getting the nursery ready!!!

Here's a few precious pictures of our alien angel (you have to admit, cute as a button, but they look so alien at this point!!!)

In both of these pictures she's looking right at us! She's kind of stubborn like her mommy and wouldn't ever turn her head away, so we weren't able to get a profile picture of her! She kept moving her hands up by her face...it was so adorable!!!
On this one you can see that there's nothing between the legs! This was cute too! She kept her legs close together and then decided to cross them! Finally, she let us see, and clear as a button, she's definitely a girl!

As I began to think of all the impending pink headed in our direction, I asked, "I know that people find out what they're having and then, low and behold, the baby is born the opposite gender. What are our chances of that happening?" She reassured me saying that she was 100% certain it's a little girl, but told me we could look again for a second time to give me comfort!!! Low and behold, she's still a girl!

So that's our baby! We haven't picked out any names for sure, but there are a few that we really like! We'll keep you posted! Thank you, everyone, for all of your love and support during this exciting time in our lives!!!

LOOK HOW CUTE!!!

Eli and I went wandering through Tri-State and came upon these...

Aren't they adorable? I know they look a little "square" but that's because they're stuffed with cardboard, but they'll look so cute on little baby feet! I was thinking they'll be great for the U of I Homecoming parade!!! I have been eyeing different Vandal gear at the bookstore wondering if it was ever going to go on sale, and then, wah-lah, there we stumbled upon these along with many other Vandal items that are super CHEAP!!! YAY!

Going Private???

We are really thinking about making our blog go private sooner than later. Eli and I have talked and have always planned on making it private prior to Baby Cann's arrival because I'm paranoid like that. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to keep it open until then, but now, I'm not sure I want random people to be able to see and read our blog....it kind of creeps me out! I can't lie however, because I am a blog stalker and look at others' blogs (of course only people I know) and I know that I probably have some of those as well! To those people, I totally don't care, it's the unknown strangers reading our stuff that bothers me...

Anyway, through all this rambling, I just don't know what to do... is it really that big of a deal if some random people read our blog? I really want to be safe, so we're going to continue to think about this, but I think we will probably go private in the next few weeks...

I need help!!!

So I have this amazingly awesome new blog message to post about seeing Amy Roloff...BUT I can't get my videos to upload. I've spent over an hour waiting for one to finish "loading." I've tried it a few different times but each time at the end, it's like it gets frozen or something and won't finalize the upload. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? The video is compatible with the videos blogger allows for upload. Please help!
